WEBINAR: Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC): Are You Ready?

With the November 10, 2026, date for adding Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to Department of War (DoW) contracts, Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors are starting to schedule their CMMC Level 2 Assessments. Although the assessment has been planned, the true question is whether or not they are ready.
CMMC Level 2 Assessments are evidence based, and many contractors are finding they are not prepared to provide the evidence required by the CMMC Third-Party Assessor Organization (C3PAO). Our CMMC team, who attained C3PAO authorization on January 2, 2025, provided insight into what a C3PAO is looking for when conducting a CMMC Level 2 Assessment.
Since a C3PAO cannot start an assessment unless the foundational documents are completed and have sufficient information to define the boundaries and the scope of the assessment, Partner Dave Hammarberg, Director Elaine Nissley, Manager Mike Murray, and Supervisor Ryan Handley reviewed the foundational documents that provide a C3PAO with an understanding of the CMMC environment, as well as review an example readiness checklist.

- An understanding of the CMMC Level 2 Key Documents

The level for this webinar was intermediate, and a basic understanding of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) or NIST 800-171 cybersecurity assessments was required.
