During this SOC webinar, Partner Dave Hammarberg and Director Josh Bantz covered the Essentials of SOC 1, providing attendees with an overview and basic understanding of SOC 1 Reporting. The information in this webinar included what is a SOC 1, as well as the differences between SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports. The webinar also covered the types of organizations who may need a SOC 1, along with who should be requesting and using SOC 1 reports. Additional topics touched on included the role of SOC 1 in internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and vendor management. The SOC 1 audit process was also discussed, along with the benefits of SOC 1 reporting.
