Upcoming M&L Compliance Management 2024 Trainings

McKonly & Asbury’s affiliate company, M&L Compliance Management (MLCM), is offering two upcoming virtual trainings on September 18-19, 2024, and October 17, 2024.

September 18 & 19: Advanced Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Workshop & Optional HCCP Exam

This two-day training will consist of critical elements of the LIHTC Program to include eligible basis, qualified basis, the applicable fraction, and utility allowances. The training will also focus on LIHTC basics, asset and income calculation and compliance, tenant eligibility, and calculating rents. There will also be discussion on calculating low-income housing tax credits, important timeframes, and acquisition/rehab developments. This training will be presented in accordance with HOTMA regulations.

The Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) exam will be offered on Day 2. This exam is optional. HCCP is the nationally recognized designation that establishes the standard of excellence in program knowledge, expertise, and integrity for all areas of the affordable housing tax credit industry.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Wednesday, September 18 at 8:30 AM – 5 PM EST & Thursday, September 19 at 8 AM – 12 PM EST

This training will take place on Wednesday, September 18 at 8:30 a.m. EDT, and attendees also have the option of registering for the HCCP exam on Thursday, September 19 at 8:00 a.m. EDT, as well. All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance and a resourceful user’s manual related to this training. This program is live, which offers the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the presenter.

October 17: Low-Income Housing Tax Credits/Basics Workshop

This one-day Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) training will include a brief background on the LIHTC program, with an emphasis being placed on income/asset calculations, qualifying a household, recertifications, and compliance as it relates to HOTMA which became effective on 1/1/24. The class is very beneficial to new property managers or managers who may just need to refresh their knowledge.

Thursday, October 17 at 9 AM – 3:30 PM EST

This training will take place on Thursday, October 17 at 9:00 a.m. EDT. All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance and a resourceful user’s manual related to this training. This program is live, which offers the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the presenter.
