McKonly & Asbury Enhances Managing Partner Role to Support Firm Growth

McKonly & Asbury is pleased to announce that Kurt M. Trimarchi, current Managing Partner of McKonly & Asbury, will be joined by Michael D. Hoffner in the Managing Partner role as of January 1, 2020. Mike has been a valued member of the McKonly & Asbury team for nearly 15 years and this recognition comes from his continued role on the firm’s Executive Committee as well as his many years of dedicated service to the success of the firm.

This new paradigm in leadership comes off the heels of recent firm growth in 2019, both internally as well as within the firm’s affiliated companies. In January 2019, McKonly & Asbury acquired a third office in Bloomsburg, PA, expanding geographic reach and adding to the team of talented individuals to support future growth. The additional office location also enriched the firm’s expertise in audit, tax compliance, and back-office consulting as well as allowed for additional time and resources to devote to specialty services and industry niches.

Firm growth continued in 2019 with an ownership stake in Dale Carnegie Mid-Atlantic. As an owner, McKonly & Asbury offers an extension of services to clients and expands the depth and breadth of their expertise in the areas of leadership, team building, and people development while broadening their footprint into the Maryland, Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and West Virginia marketplaces.

During 2019, McKonly & Asbury’s affiliate, Bridgeford Trust Company – an independent, full service trust company with South Dakota Trust powers – saw exponential growth as it continues to provide industry leading progressive fiduciary services to domestic and international families across the country and around the world.

Collectively, Kurt and Mike will be responsible for firm strategy and growth, client engagement, team development, corporate culture, and community presence. In addition to this, enhancing the Managing Partner role allows them to continue to use their strengths to move the firm forward, while still providing the superior services that clients have come to rely on in their individual areas of expertise.

Kurt M. Trimarchi, CPA, CM&AA, joined McKonly & Asbury in 2003 and became Managing Partner in 2015. Within this role, he has been leading the firm with his extensive experience in serving family businesses and providing domestic and international tax services. In addition to family businesses, Kurt has developed expertise in serving clients in our Manufacturing and Retail industries.

Michael D. Hoffner, CPA, joined McKonly & Asbury in 2005 and has developed a well-known expertise in assurance services and in serving our growing industries including Service Organizations (SOC), Manufacturing, Construction and Engineering, and Technology.
