McKonly & Asbury Announces Promotions

McKonly & Asbury is excited to announce promotions for nine of our team members! Two join our firm’s leadership team as Principals, three advance to Manager, and four to Senior Accountant.

Our focus on people continues to be the vision that drives our culture, and we are fortunate to have some of the best and brightest talent in Pennsylvania working for us! Please join us in congratulating these team members!

Principals

Shalane Cohen, CPA – Principal

Shalane joined McKonly & Asbury in 2005. With 14 years of audit experience, she is a leader in the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice. Shalane primarily works with clients in employee benefit plan and manufacturing industries. She is active on the firm’s LEAN Committee and is also involved with recruiting and finding talent for our Assurance & Advisory Practice. She works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Messiah College.

Danielle Guinter, CPA, MAcc – Principal

Danielle joined McKonly & Asbury in 2005. With 14 years of audit experience, she is a leader in the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice. Danielle provides client services specifically in construction, employee benefit plan, and manufacturing industries. Her previous experience also includes positions such as Central Asset Client Service Representative, 529 and Retirement Plan Product Specialist, and Multi-Product Specialist. She works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and has earned a B.B.A. from James Madison University as well as a Masters of Accountancy from Rider University.

Managers

Bonnie Day, CPA – Manager

Bonnie joined McKonly & Asbury in 2014. As a member of the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice, she primarily works with clients in construction, manufacturing, nonprofit, and employee benefit plan industries. Bonnie is active within the firm, serving on the PEP Squad which plans fun events for our team, the Audit & Accounting Committee, and the Revenue Recognition implementation task force. She works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Messiah College.

Josh Kowalczyk, CPA – Manager

Josh joined McKonly & Asbury in 2014. As a member of the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice, he primarily works with clients in employee benefit plan and manufacturing industries. In addition, he is a key member of our firm’s System and Organizational Controls (SOC) Practice, preparing SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 reports for our clients. Josh also serves on the firm’s PEP Squad, planning fun events for our team throughout the year. He works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Messiah College.

Jackie Winchell, CPA – Manager

Jackie joined McKonly & Asbury in 2013. She is a member of the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice and specializes in serving clients in affordable housing and nonprofit industries. She performs development-stage projects, including cost certifications, 10% tests, and first-year audits for clients utilizing the low-income housing tax credit. Jackie also serves on the firm’s Service Committee, a group that organizes community service efforts for our team. She works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and earned a B.S. in Business and Accounting from Lebanon Valley College.

Senior Accountants

Jean Boucher – Senior Accountant

Jean joined McKonly & Asbury in 2015. She is a member of the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services Group (ESG) and provides support on various back office accounting engagements. Jean assists clients with accounts payable and receivable, financial statement preparation, and various accounting software review/assistance, including QuickBooks. She works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Miami University as well as the QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation.

Samantha Haar – Senior Accountant

Samantha joined McKonly & Asbury in 2017. She is a member of the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice and specializes in serving clients in affordable housing and nonprofit industries. Samantha also serves on the firm’s PEP Squad, planning fun events for our team throughout the year. She works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Messiah College.

Megan Lawrence – Senior Accountant

Megan joined McKonly & Asbury in 2017. She is a member of the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice, primarily working with clients in affordable housing, employee benefit plan, and nonprofit industries. Megan is also a member of the firm’s Service Committee, which organizes firm-sponsored community service activities. She works out of the firm’s Camp Hill office and holds a B.S. in Business Administration – Accounting/Management Information from Shippensburg University.

Erin Pabon-Busansky – Senior Accountant

Erin joined McKonly & Asbury in 2017. She is a member of the firm’s Assurance & Advisory Practice and serves clients in affordable housing, healthcare, and nonprofit industries. Erin is also a member of the firm’s Service Committee, which organizes firm-sponsored community service activities. She works out of the firm’s Lancaster office and holds a B.S. in Accounting from DeSales University.
