Webinar – Not-For-Profit Organizations: Lessons Learned from Implementation of the New Financial Reporting Standard

McKonly & Asbury’s July webinar entitled, “Not-For-Profit Organizations: Lessons Learned from Implementation of the New Financial Reporting Standard” will take place on Thursday, July 25, 2019. The webinar will be hosted by Gary Dubas, Partner and Director of McKonly & Asbury’s Nonprofit Practice, Janice Snyder, Partner and Co-Director of the Assurance Practice, and Jim Shellenberger, Principal and Leader in the Nonprofit Practice.

Webinar presenters will review the implementation challenges of ASU 2016-14, including examples and best practices. A portion of the webinar will be a live Q&A format where participants will have the opportunity to ask presenters specific questions about ASU 2016-14, as well as the significant accounting changes coming over the next few years, including but not limited to revenue recognition and leases. Participants are encouraged to send questions to the presenters in advance during the registration process. These questions will help develop and shape the items to cover. Questions can be related to ASU 2016-14, or any other standard impacting not-for-profit organizations.

During this webinar, attendees will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the requirements of ASU 2016-14
  • Learn best practices, tips, and items to consider during the implementation of the new nonprofit reporting standards
  • Be given a preview of some of the challenges coming down the road related to nonprofit accounting and reporting
