Technology Risk Management Conference

McKonly & Asbury co-hosted two conferences in 2019 focused on Technology Risk Management, highlighting the importance of this topic in the day and age in which we live and work. The first conference was held in Mount Laurel, NJ on May 8, 2019 and the second conference was held on September 17, 2019 in Hershey, PA.

These full day conferences featured presentations from McKonly & Asbury, DFDR Consulting, and PrismWorks Technology, Inc. providing attendees invaluable expertise to solve daily challenges. We were able to offer capable and effective audit, tax, and consulting services; mitigate potential data breaches; and provide innovative, cost-effective technology solutions and consulting.

Conference attendees had the opportunity to listen to dynamic presentations tailored to today’s technology risk management including a presentation by Mark Crescenzi from Prismworks Technology, Inc. centered on the Organic Growth of IT: What Your Infrastructure Looks Like and How it Got There; Michael Hoffner and Josh Bantz from McKonly & Asbury discussed Understanding the Value of a SOC Report; and Michael Nelson finished the morning by focusing on Incident Response related to a possible breach within organizations.

The afternoon continued with a discussion from Mark Crescenzi from Prismworks Technology, Inc. entitled Righting the Wrong: What Your IT Infrastructure Should Look Like and How to Get it There; followed by a panel discussion moderated by Michael Hoffner from McKonly & Asbury highlighting What is SOC for Cybersecurity. This panel, which included David Hammarberg and Josh Kowalczyk from McKonly & Asbury along with Ken Pyle from DFDR Consulting LLC, took a look at the AICPA’s cybersecurity risk management reporting framework and reviewed the benefits of SOC for Cybersecurity. The conference concluded with a presentation focused on Understanding Your Security Assessment from Ken Pyle from DFDR Consulting LLC. The day offered breakfast and lunch as well as 7 Continuing Education Credits (2.5 A&A and 4.5 Specialized Knowledge) and 5.5 CLE credits were available for participants.

The collaboration of McKonly & Asbury, DFDR Consulting, and PrismWorks Technology, Inc. created an enriching experience for conference attendees to further understand how prepared their company is in relation to Technology Risk Management.
