SEMINAR: Advanced Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Issues

McKonly & Asbury’s Affordable Housing Seminar was held in-person on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 9:30am – 3:30pm. Taking place at the Giant Community Center on Trindle Road in Camp Hill, the seminar featured A.J. Johnson, President of A.J. Johnson Consulting Services, Inc., a full-service real estate consulting firm specializing in due diligence and asset management issues with a particular emphasis on properties utilizing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit.

The topic for this seminar was: Advanced Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Issues

This full day training was intended for senior management staff, developers, corporate finance officers, and others involved in decision-making with regard to how low-income housing tax credit deals are structured. This training covered complex issues such as eligible and qualified basis, applicable fraction, credit calculation (including first year calculation), placed in service issues, rehab projects, tax exempt bonds, developments with HOME funds, Next Available Unit Rule, employee units, mixed income properties, vacant unit rule, and dealing effectively with State Agencies.

Attendees were eligible for 5 Specialized Knowledge CPE credits.

Registration

The seminar training fee was $250 per person, and lunch was included in the price of registration. Groups of 3 or more registrations received a $25 discount per registrant.
