Addressing the Manufacturing Labor Shortage
Thursday, August 25th, 2022
During this webinar, Brett Bauer, Principal and Zachery Starner, Manager from McKonly & Asbury, along with special guest Kent Keller, Business Advisor, specializing in Workforce Engagement from MANTEC addressed the manufacturing labor shortage. As many know, the skilled labor shortage, which predated COVID-19, has only been exacerbated by the pandemic over the past couple of years. They spent time diagnosing and understanding the labor shortage in manufacturing. Most of the time was spent looking at possible solutions. Some of the solutions were non-labor focused such as plant and process improvements, while other solutions were focused on how you go about attracting and retaining skilled laborers.
Attendees of this McKonly & Asbury Webinar gained insight on the following:
- What is the manufacturing skilled labor gap?
- Why is there a shortage of employees in this particular industry?
- What non-labor solutions exist to fill in some of this gap?
- How can your organization improve in attracting and retaining employees in manufacturing?
