WEBINAR: IIA External Quality Assessments and the New Standards

This webinar provided an overview of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) External Quality Assessment (EQA) of an internal audit function’s Quality Assurance Improvement Program (QAIP). Principal Elaine Nissley and Senior Manager Victor Kong provided information on the changes coming with the new IIA’s Global Internal Audit Standards effective January 2025. They also discussed the qualifications you should look for in an external quality assessor, as well as defined the types of benefits you should expect from your EQA. Elaine and Victor also defined the preparation for and what you should expect from your external quality assessor.
