Collaborate 2014 Conference
McKonly & Asbury’s second annual Collaborate Conference was held on May 21, 2014 with over 150 attendees gathered at the Hershey Lodge! This conference featured a variety of topics and speakers, including group sessions and breakout sessions that left attendees with practical, every day solutions to elevate their business in 2014.
Our Collaborate 2014 Conference kicked off with a Business Banking presentation from Quincy Miller, Executive Vice President and Head of Business Banking for RBS Citizens Financial Group, Inc. We then welcomed back for the second year, Dean Zerbe (alliantgroup National Managing Director and former Senior Tax Counsel to the U.S. Senate Finance Committee) and Mark Everson (alliantgroup Vice Chairman and Former IRS Commissioner) to present our keynote address. After lunch, Jill Sebest Welch, Partner at Barley Snyder gave an enlightening presentation on the Top Tools to Manage Risk of Employment Litigation in 2014.
Afternoon breakout sessions included presentations from Michael Biggerstaff, Owner/CEO of Nxtbook Media on Blending Creativity Into Your Culture; Michael Hoffner and Janice Snyder, Partners with McKonly & Asbury on Emerging Issues in Financial Reporting; Thomas Reese, Partner and Consulting Actuary with Conrad Siegel Actuaries on Retirement Readiness; and David Warren, President/CEO of Bridgeford Trust Company and Daniel Matarrese, Senior Manager with McKonly & Asbury on taking a look at the Wealth Transfer, Protection, and Enhancement Benefits of a South Dakota Trust.
Aji Abraham, Senior Vice President of Business Development with Capital BlueCross presented the day’s last session on Managing PPACA Changes in 2014. Afterwards, attendees enjoyed a time of networking, food, and drinks as we gathered for a reception to close out the day.
We again want to thank our sponsors: Capital BlueCross, Citizens Bank, Conrad Siegel Actuaries, Barley Snyder, Nxtbook Media, alliantgroup, and Bridgeford Trust Company. Their support was critical to the success of this event.
