CEO Perspectives in Challenging Times: Session 2 with Joe Arthur, Central Pennsylvania Food Bank

The upheavals of the last 18 months have created unprecedented challenges and opportunities for many leaders. We have seen that especially hold true in the nonprofit community. McKonly & Asbury hosted the second session in our Virtual Summer Series – CEO Perspectives in Challenging Times. The region’s most influential leaders are joining us to discuss how they are adapting their thinking and leadership to the challenging times in which we live. They will share their perspectives about the trends they are experiencing and answer audience questions during the session.
Our second session took place on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 and featured Joe Arthur, Executive Director of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Jim Shellenberger and Janice Snyder, Partners with McKonly & Asbury moderated this session focused on “Respond, Restore, and Protect.” Joe discussed how the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank responded to the enormous food crisis brought to light by the COVID-19 pandemic, but also its transition to the recovery phase which is focused on prolonging and protecting its relationships with donors, community organizations, and partner agencies.
